Performance Academy
Does your child yearn for the stage? Looking to help your older elementary or teenage child build confidence and skill in front of a crowd? Are you an aspiring artist looking to hone your skills with an opportunity to perform?
On-Stage LIVE! Entertainment’s Performance Academy is the just the place! We offer an educational theatrical arts experience for youths (8 to 13) and teens (14 to 19), with a focused arts curriculum goal of putting on an entertaining show at On-Stage Live! Cabaret!
2-hour class programs are held once a week to help oung artists build a foundation in performing arts, as well as prepare them to perform in an end-of-semester production show. On-Stage LIVE! here at the cabaret! Our accomplished instructor’s mission is to foster creativity, innovation, and excellence in the performing arts by empowering youth to build their confidence and share artistic side in a healthy, uplifting, welcoming, nurturing, and safe environment.
Audition Information:
Auditions are free and open to any eager 8–19-year-old and no experience required! This audition process helps our team learn more about each of you to help ensure you are placed in the right class program. We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcome, comfortable, and encouraged to shine.
Parents, our program classes are limited to 18 aspiring student artists per class.
Students: if possible, please come prepared with two contrasting pieces of the following: Sing a song, perform a 2-minute dance routine, or deliver a monologue that speaks to you. You can do any combination of these three areas. (1 song, 1 monologue) or a single track (2 dances).
How do I get my child registered for the audition?
Step 1: If possible, please complete the online questionnaire as it will help us get to know each student a bit in advance before their audition.

Step 2: Please come to one of our RESTRATION OPEN HOUSES on any one of the following dates between 1P and 3P. Everyone 8 to 19 is welcome to come in at any time.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM
3 classes of 18 artists with two teachers per class.
- 2024 Fall Semester: Weeks 1-6:
- First hour: Technique/Exercises
- Second Hour: Brainstorming/Workshopping performance ideas
- 2024 Fall Semester: Weeks 7-12:
- First hour: Group numbers
- Second Hour: Solos, duets, trios
- 2024 Fall Semester: Week 13: Holiday Cabaret show!!!
- Each of our three classes will put on one performance scheduled for either Thursday Nov. 21, Friday Nov. 22, or Saturday Nov. 23
2024 Fall Semester is 12-week total and follows most Johnson & Marion County school schedules. Programs begin August 12th. Available class time options based on auditionees: 6:15-8:30 pm – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
MISSION STATEMENT
OSLE’s Performance Academy mission is dedicated to providing performing arts education programs and performance opportunities to youth ages 8-19. All educational programming will culminate in a final cabaret-style production in OSLE’s professional performing arts center located in Greenwood, Indiana. OSLE’s educators will work with each student to craft a unique performance for this immersive production show. Our core belief: Collaboration is key! Performing arts training programming is specifically designed to foster creativity, innovation, and excellence in the performing arts by empowering young artists to find their confidence and artistic voice. Instructors are dedicated to ensuring each student refines their skills and gains comfort in new areas of performing while having also having FUN! Through quality instruction, mentorship, and a real-world performance opportunity, we believe parents and students will discover how powerful and transformative performing arts are to inspire, empower, and unite individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
SEMESTER PROGRAM COST
$400 for 12 weeks plus perform live in a cabaret production show. ALL students will receive a 10% scholarship from On-Stage LIVE! Entertainment if selected, brings the cost down to $360.
